Paddle
First played in Scarsdale in the late 1920s, platform tennis – colloquially known as “paddle,” though a different sport than paddle tennis – has expanded to the entire Northeast, attracting beginners and professionals alike for tremendous growth in this social game. Westchester Country Club features five platform tennis courts and a clubhouse.Through the years, our Club has hosted multiple professional platform tennis events, including the prestigious Pro Flight Paddle Tour Finals as well as the 2020 American Platform Tennis Association Mixed National Championships.
Beginning in October, the paddle season features many opportunities to participate in the sport, regardless of if you have played before or are picking up a paddle for the first time. Westchester Country Club offers world-class teaching professionals, private and group instruction, clinics, multiple teams in both the men’s Metropolitan Interclub Paddle Tennis League, the Rye Paddle League and the women’s MIPTL, as well as round-robins, tournaments, game arrangements and a junior development program that accommodates all levels of players.
